After Receiving A Chair That Matches His Mother’s, The Dog Can’t Stop Smiling

Lindsay Dyer usually enjoys cuddling with her dog, Franklin, a dachshund mix. However, the rescue dog may be a bit needy, especially when Dyer has to go to work.

Dyer told The Dodo, “He’s a super chill boy.” Bagheera, as long as he can remain with his humans or his feline brother.”

Franklin perceives his mother sitting in the cozy chair as an invitation for cuddling, whereas Dyer prefers to work from a gray wingback armchair. That arrangement wasn’t working for Dyer, so he came up with the ideal remedy.

When the pandemic hit, Dyer went full-time remote and spent a lot of time in his chair trying to type with a dog on his lap. “I noticed a matching child chair at IKEA. I went to IKEA the first day it reopened, believing that providing him his own chair would make him stop stealing mine.”

“It was entirely selfish of me to get him his own chair,” she added.

When she brought it home, Dyer placed Franklin’s favorite stuffed toy on the tiny matching chair, and he immediately grasped what that meant. Franklin’s expression was priceless.

Dyer added, “Needless to say, he’s quite thrilled.” “In my office, it’s his favorite spot.”

Franklin’s cat sibling, on the other hand, adores the little chair and has declared it his personal space. Fortunately, Franklin is very accommodating when it comes to accommodating Bagheera.

“They are best friends and enemies at the same time,” Dyer explained. “To Bag’s chagrin, they have to share the chair. They, on the other hand, are always cuddling in any chair or bed they can find, and they don’t want to sleep without each other.”

Franklin appears to have to share his chair no matter where he sits. When Franklin decides to steal his mother’s chair once again, Bagheera takes his place.
