A Homeless Man Helps An Abandoned Puppy Find A Forever Home

Angel Janes was driving home from work in Salt Lake City, Utah, when she noticed a homeless guy sitting on the side of the motorway with a sign requesting money or a job. She came to a halt to hand the man what he had, a cigarette, and noticed he was holding a tiny chihuahua wrapped in a blanket to keep him warm.

The dog quickly became evident as the man’s major focus. Angel approached the owner, Ron, and asked if he could give the dog a decent home. Ron informed her that he had witnessed a woman throwing her puppy from her car on a major highway two hours before.

Angel was unable to adopt the dog, so she shared the tale with her Facebook friends. So Kathleen Dallmann put the case on a local animal lover’s Facebook group, indicating where Ron could be found.

Kathleen stated,

“A lady was on her way to take up the puppy for foster care a few minutes after I posted.” She gave Ron $50 as a sign of her appreciation for keeping him safe. ‘No, I simply wanted to do the right thing,’ she said. But she persisted on taking it ».

Kathleen stated,

“She was sobbing because she was able to find a home for the puppy.” She stated, ‘I know what it’s like to be homeless, and I don’t want the dog to be homeless.’

That’s when things began to change for the dog, and for Ron as well.

The woman who had accepted Ron’s chihuahua was willing to foster him for as long as it needed to find him a forever home, but she didn’t have to wait long.

Chasity Guyer and her daughter chose to adopt the small puppy after learning about his condition. They fell in love right away and named him Lucky Louie after how swiftly he received help after losing everything he possessed.

Chasity stated that the puppy is doing well and that Lucky Louie may now feel safe.

Adopting Lucky Louie was a wonderful success for everyone involved, but Kathleen knew the tale wasn’t over.

Kathleen stated,

“I was relieved that things had worked out for the dog, but I couldn’t stop worrying about Ron. He didn’t even have a place to call home. As a result, I created a GoFundMe campaign for him. I wasn’t sure whether anyone would donate, but after spreading the news, he raised $500.”
