Rich and Emma are a couple from Yorkshire, England, who saw their cat’s hilarious tongue-tied grimaces on the internet and fell in love with him. Ikiru, as this kitty refers to them, enslaved them with their images, so they paid him a visit and decided to take him home after four weeks.
Later, this family decided to set up an Instagram account for Ikiru, who has now become a social media sensation. He is renowned as the king of blep, and his stances and antics are so odd and weird that the family is frequently questioned if their cat is okay.
Rich and Emma added the following:
“Shorthaired exotics have a somewhat chubby face but are incredibly lively and fit. She doesn’t always have her tongue hanging out, but it appears to be a habit of hers, resulting in some amusing facial expressions.
“We get notes from all around the globe telling us how much their crazy looks, sweetness, and personality make them smile. It has also sparked fan art, with some excellent pictures capturing its humorous personality.
His adoptive parents are pleased with their reactions and events, and they are enthralled by the prospect of sharing all of this with others; they have stated:
This kitten’s name comes from his adoptive father’s love of Akira Kurosawa’s flicks, which he called “Ikiru,” which translates to “living” in Japanese. His relatives also cited the following:
In the best sense, he’s kind, caring, and grouchy. Ikiru is also a lot of fun to be around. One of his peculiarities is that he enjoys tunneling and hiding beneath blankets or sheets of paper, or looking at you upside down from the corner of a room.
Ikiru enjoys playing and posing with his unusual expressions and wicked tongue, which he displays in every photograph taken of him.
This lovely cat makes his family and many of his Internet followers happy, and he clearly likes playing with everything in his way.
