Dog Lost For Two Years Can’t Believe He’s Seeing His Dad Again, Until He Smells Him
Pakita the dog has been looking for a home for two years. Someone who claimed to have spotted the missing puppy walking the streets of Argentina left her to Arca Animal, an animal sanctuary. Silvia Ferreyra, a volunteer, and her friends welcomed Pakita with warm arms, but the dog was distant and dejected.
She persevered in waiting for an opportunity to find a home, but they consistently picked canines that were younger and happier.
Silvia stated to The Dodo:
“Puppies are more popular. She therefore remained with us for two years.”
They were unaware that Pakita already had a home and a close friend who greatly missed her at the time.
Pakita was so miserable that photographing her was really challenging; even when Silvia tried to pat her, she always cowered in terror and backed away. Her carers persisted in trying, nevertheless. Then, one day, they were able to get a passable image of her, which they then shared on social media in the hopes that someone would fall in love with the adorable little puppy and adopt her.
Lisa stated:
“We got a contact from a woman right away saying that the dog was her son’s and that she had been seeking for her.
The woman’s son, Ariel Naveira, had all but given up hope of ever seeing his beloved dog ever more. Pakita had, it turns out, escaped from her home two years prior, and despite their best efforts to find her, they were never able to locate her again. Is she really there?
The following day, Ariel went to see whether it was actually her lost puppy. It was difficult to hold him responsible for his hesitation given the amount of time that had gone. Pakita retreated as usual when she was taken out to greet her human father. It appears that even she had trouble accepting the possibility of meeting the person who was in front of her.
But things abruptly changed. Pakita approached Ariel cautiously at first, but as soon as she smelled her, she was overcome with a delight she hadn’t felt in years.
