An Adorable Dog Who Was Wandering In A Shopping Center Is Adopted And Becomes A New Security Guard

Because to the kind actions of the security officers and the fact that the puppy was eventually adopted, the footage of the dog that got lost in a Taguig, Philippines, shopping mall went viral.

The puppy is seen making monkey faces at passersby while resting on the ground in a video posted on Facebook by Jan Mart Calimpong. The animal is then shown being gently led to the edge of the area by security personnel of the Vista Mall Taguig retail mall.

The Friday, November 20, video was rapidly seen more than 120 thousand times and had thousands of comments and replies.

According to Jan Mart’s post:

“Even though the dog entered the mall grounds without being spotted, I was relieved that he was not mistreated when he was taken outside, and that the guard instead accompanied him as if he were his pet.”

The man, affected by what he observed, also voiced his enthusiasm for the manner in which the shopping center’s management handled the puppy’s situation.

Jan Mart also said

I commend the management of Vista Mall Taguig for this.

Many people complimented the security officers for their kindness toward a vulnerable creature that was only seeking some attention.

The professionalism with which the guards handled the incident was lauded by even the head of the security company for which they work.

On Facebook, Ginger Rosales stated:

We commend Sg Rommel Francisco and Tan Dionne Crisostomo for their competent handling of this event.

The revelation that the dog had been adopted and became a member of the shopping center’s security staff is what makes this story the most poignant.

Another security officer at the location, Rico Bucan, announced the event through a series of images on the ONE CAVITE Facebook page.

Now that “Dogdog” the dog has a place to live and a job among his buddies, he will undoubtedly prosper.

In an interview with INQUIRER.NET, Rico remarked :

He was raised at the shopping center where I work. We always have Dogdog with us when we are on guard. He is a really amiable canine.

The security officers’ kind hearts not only won over thousands of visitors, but also helped a dog in need.
