Scared Dog Does Not Stop Hugging Her Rescuers Very Grateful

Natalie Olivieri is the Vice President of Furever Bully Love Rescue, an Orlando-based animal rescue organization. Harper, a dog who had been abandoned in a huge field in Redland, Florida, was discovered by her. This location is noted for having a big number of stray dogs, which the volunteers try to feed.

Unfortunately, the number of dogs in need of immediate assistance is large, and the number of volunteers from rescue organizations is insufficient. Natalie hooked up with the Redland Rock Pit in February 2017 and discovered Harper there. She was traumatized after realizing she had been abused. She was around a year old at the time and had been in Redlands for about five months.

Natalie opted to accept the dog since she was covered in wounds that indicated she had been abused. She put a collar on her as quickly as she could, but the scared dog was suddenly frozen by dread.

Natalie explains:

“Harper went out with five other dogs,” says the narrator. Harper collapsed to the ground in horror as soon as she neared us and we met.”

They went to the vet when they arrived in Orlando, and she was diagnosed with anemia, worms, and a tooth infection. All of this began to be addressed, but the most challenging aspect was her social phobia. She couldn’t even stand up at first, and her helpers had to assist her go to the restroom; she clutched to them closely.

Furever Bully Love Rescue President Jennifer Adorno said:

“I’ve never had a dog embrace me as tightly as this one.”

Harper was placed in a foster home, and her mother, Cheryl Kessler, saw a gradual change in her behavior after a few weeks.

Cheryl related the following:

“She bolts from her kennel and dashes outside.” She’s going outside to relieve herself, and she’s just a regular, everyday dog. I like watching her develop her personality and come out of her shell.”

Harper, who has been through a lot, is a loving dog who is always grateful. They appear to recall their good fortune in finding a home and receiving a lot of love.
