Grandpa Refuses To Clean Up After His Snow-Loving Pup

Snow has always been a favorite of Buster’s. One of his favorite things in the world is playing outside in the cold, and he despises being told it’s time to go back inside.

“Getting him inside late at night can be a real chore – he’d much rather sleep on a snowbank,” Buster’s father, Michael Kapusty, told The Dodo. “Like a dolphin in water, he’ll leap and dive in the snow.”

Buster is, after all, a husky, so he has a bit of a stubborn streak. He just knows what he wants and doesn’t see why he should have to make concessions.

Buster was ecstatic when the first large snowfall of the season arrived this year. He was overjoyed to be able to go about and play in it, which is why he was shocked to see his grandfather shoveling away his lovely snow.

“This was his first snowfall of the season, and he was irritated that we were taking it away from him,” Kapusty explained. “So he came over and sat in the center of it,” says the narrator.

Buster defended his tiny pile while the snow melted away around him, and when it came time for his grandfather to shovel away that part as well, he refused to move.

“I knew this was going to be a classic Buster moment,” Kapusty explained. “He was urged to move, but his expression suggested differently. He waited until everything around him had vanished and he understood he had lost the war.”

Buster eventually conceded defeat and allowed his small snow mound to be shoveled away. He was angry with everyone until he discovered there was still plenty of snow outdoors and he went back to playing and frolicking.
