The veterinary personnel of the Gelendzhik Zoo and Safari Park in Russia demonstrated this.

The twins Anastasia and Olesya Sakhatskaya, both committed employees of the Gelendzhik Zoo, are the major inspirations for the effort to nurture the characters of this novel.

Anastasia and Olesya kept a tight eye on the two cubs’ birth, noticing that after a few weeks, their mother, Seryozhka, a seven-year-old bear, began to ignore them and pushed them away.

“There have never been any other incidents of polar bear babies in a Russian zoo being rejected by their mother.” This is our first time doing anything like this. There have only been roughly five incidents of polar bears being bred in captivity after their birth. “I hope we succeed,” said Yelena Milovidova, the Gelendzhik Zoo’s director.
