A Puppy Chained Outside A Building Makes A Remarkable Change
Courtney Bowles received an odd phone from her father in October, informing her that he had discovered a puppy tethered outside a building and required his assistance.
Courtney had a lot of experience rescuing pets, so she rushed over to check how she was doing and provide assistance. It was a little dog, and when he came, he was taken aback by what he saw.
The poor creature had apparently been chained for days and was very starved and dehydrated.
The dog had clearly been neglected by her previous owners, who had also left her abandoned in the building after they had moved because they owed the rent. The cruelest part was that they had chained her to a post, wearing a cat collar around her neck, and leaving her without water or food.
When the young woman approached the dog, she was unsure how she would respond, but when she offered her assistance, the dog transformed into a new dog.
Courtney had this to say:
“She was hiding at first since she was so terrified of humans, but she transformed after I started patting her and giving her a reward.”
When she was in the car, the dog began to express her thanks and generosity by wagging her tail with joy.
Courtney drove her home and gave her a shower; when he was bathing her, the water turned black and dirty. The woman feels she hasn’t taken a shower in a long time or that she hasn’t had a bath in a long time.
Courtney explained:
“Since then, whenever he feels terrified, whether it is during a storm or when he hears loud noises, he runs and jumps into the bathtub.” I believe that was the first time she felt secure.
Bonnie was still quite feeble at the moment, so she couldn’t run or jump on furniture, but Millie did everything she could to assist her. Millie either slowed down to allow Bonnie to catch up with her or threw the toys off the couch for Bonnie to play with.
Courtney had this to say:
“It was extremely beautiful to witness how they gradually came together.”
The two dogs acted as if they had known each other for years, doing everything together and sleeping and walking together in addition to playing. Millie has also been successful in teaching her new baby sister to be more self-assured and to live in the now.
He’s transformed into a whole new dog; he’s lively, loves to run and play, enjoys being around humans, and chews on things. Bonnie became a full-fledged part of the family, receiving all of the love and attention she deserved from the day she was born.
