People Can’t Believe Quokkas Are Genuine Because They’re So Adorable

Quokkas are a marsupial species touted as “the happiest animal in the world,” and they have recently earned a lot of attention on social media. People can’t believe quokkas are genuine because they are so charming and lovely.

Some people questioned if these charming marsupials were genuine or whether they were made up by individuals on the Internet to have a good time and make others smile, but the fact is that they do exist.

Snopes, a fact-checking website, decided to dig up and investigate everything about quokkas, and claimed in a post:

“We can attest to the fact that this is a real animal.”

Quokkas may be found in the swamps and scrublands of Rottnest and Bald Island, islands off the coast of Western Australia, as well as eucalyptus fields and riverbanks; in fact, many of the photos circulating on social media depict the animal’s natural environment.

Selfies of individuals with the little marsupial went widespread on the internet about five years ago.

People adore its lovely appearance, and they adore having their pictures taken with this joyful, smiling little animal. Obviously, without causing them any inconvenience.

Quokkas are herbivorous and usually nocturnal, so photographing them during the day is a rare opportunity. They live in groups of around 15 people and can survive for about 5 years. They are young, female, and male.

Despite their short lives, these tiny ones appear to be very happy, and we can tell from the photos that they are incredibly photogenic.
